The shimmering light reflecting off the antiqued copper disks brings to mind moonlight reflecting on the ocean.
The copper-color disks have an unusual curved-back design. When light reflects off these disks, the result is amazingly like beams of moonlight reflecting off the ocean's surface. The light twinkles and gleams on the various curved surfaces, accompanied by the gentle music of the disks, like waves lapping on the shore.
Maintenance: Every part of a Woodstock Chime is weather protected. Over time, however, those layers of protection can begin to wear. To enjoy your Woodstock Chimes for years to come, we suggest the following simple maintenance tips --
Periodically, apply a thin layer of Danish or lemon oil with a clean cloth to the hardwood parts. Regular oiling will help protect the wood and retard the natural aging process.
Use a damp cloth to clean the glass parts. If necessary, mild soap and water (or glass cleaner) can be used.
Plated steel elements should be wiped clean with a duster or damp cloth. Polishes should not be used on these, as it may remove the protective varnish coating.
