The Chakra Chime embodies the Sanskrit notion of "wheels" of energy as they spin and move up and down in the body.
The 7 stones of this chime's clapper are aligned in an ascending column,
just as the seven chakras are aligned along the spine in the human
body. The 7 tubes are tuned to the corresponding frequencies of the
chakras.
Woodstock Chakra Chimes combine color and sound to
underscore the ancient meaning of the major energy centers of the human
body. Eastern Philosophy can often be difficult for the Western
scientific mind to assimilate and yet, many of the eastern claims are
being proven scientifically as the time-honored truths that they are.
According to the traditions, there are seven basic chakras, which
correlate to the seven main nerve ganglia emanating from the spinal
column, as revealed through modern studies of physiology. Each Chakra
location has a unique meaning, orientation and healing potential.
Woodstock Chakra Chimes are intended to remind us of the strength of
mind over matter and, through sound, give us a small window into the
balance of the physical and metaphysical.
The 7 Chakras are:
-Sahasrara: The Crown Chakra. Its color is violet; its related to thought and self-knowledge; its represented by amethyst.
-Ajna: The Brow Chakra. Its color is indigo; its related to intuition and clarity; its represented by lapis.
-Vishuddha: The Throat Chakra. Its color it turquoise; its related to sound and self-expression; its represented by turquoise.
-Anahata: The Heart Chakra. Its color is green; its related to love and compassion; its represented by aventurine.
-Manipura: The Solar Plexus Chakra. Its color is yellow; its related to growth and personal power; its represented by citrine.

Maintenance: Every part of a Woodstock Chime is weather protected. Over time, however, those layers of protection can begin to wear. To enjoy your Woodstock Chimes for years to come, we suggest the following simple maintenance tips --
Periodically, apply a thin layer of Danish or lemon oil with a clean cloth to the hardwood parts. Regular oiling will help protect the wood and retard the natural aging process.
Woodstock Chimes tubes are made of anodized aluminum that will not rust when exposed to the elements. However, over time, the aluminum may show pitting as a result of environmental factors. Please note this will not affect the beautiful tones of your chimes. If necessary, use mild soap and water (or a foaming, non-abrasive cleanser) to clean the tubes. You can also use very fine #00 steel wool to polish and restore your aluminum tubes.
