Emperor Wind Gongs | Small Table Gongs | Large Garden Gongs
Gongs of various types and sizes have played an important role in both the religious and the secular music of many Asian cultures. Now you can bring the romance and splendor of the Far East into your home or garden with the enchanting tone and graceful design of a gong.
Within this collection you'll find the impressive Torii Garden Gong whose design is inspired by the Torii of Itsukushima Shrine and is the signature photo for this page. You'll also find a selection of Woodstock's Emporer Gongs, the best selling of which is the Woodstock Emporer Gong.
One of Japan's most popular tourist desitnations, the Torii of Itsukushima Shrine is at once graceful and sturdy. Facing the water, the gate welcomes the spirits of the departed as they come in across Japan's Inland Sea. At low tide, visitors can reach the gates on foot. At high tide, however, the bright red gate appears to float in the water.
Nothing has the ability to transport us to another time and place quilte llike the brilliant resonance of a gong.
The teaching is this - upon hearing the gong, worries will cease, widsom will grow.
